I thought the reason I was stressed-out, burned-out and overwhelmed was because I was weak and that I was the problem. I kept telling myself I needed to get stronger, be more organized, manage my resources better… stay up later… get up earlier… or just deal with it, because this is life.
But I was wrong.

Have You Heard About Stress?
Of course you have. We’ve all heard of stress. We’ve all experienced stress. You know what overwhelm feels like. Many of us have or are currently experiencing burn out. And for most people the idea of managing stress feels like one more thing to add to your already too full plate. But I’m going to help you look at some things a little differently, and I’m going to show you how to do some old things in a new way.
And I’m going to filter out all the stuff and fluff that doesn’t get to the bottom line… and that bottom line is decreased stress and improved health for you.
Your mental and physical health, your stress and the resulting burnout are intricately connected and by taking control of your stress today you can begin to heal from burnout and you can prevent future burnout as you improve your health in very significant ways.
As a nurse who’s witnessed other people’s struggles with stress and as a woman who’s experienced stress, the topic of stress, overwhelm, burnout and health is a very serious and personal topic for me. I’ve experienced very high and debilitating levels of stress many times throughout my life as well as overwhelming periods of burnout. And I finally reached a point where I knew I had to figure this out or I was going to experience devastating life changes related to that stress.
So I got busy and started learning about stress and how to manage it.
In this workshop I’m sharing what I’ve learned. And I’ve filtered and sorted and compiled my knowledge and understanding into information that will help you understand stress, why you have it, what you’re supposed to do with it, and how to use it to your benefit, so you can start feeling better now. While also helping you improve some of your existing health issues, and most especially help prevent worsening health problems.

And I’m going to share how you can do this without busting the bank or draining the tank.
Meaning, what I will share is fast, easy and cheap. But most important – it’s effective.
One of the biggest reasons we don’t master our stress is because we feel that because our stress load is so big we need a big solution. But my friend, that is completely the opposite of the truth. Big solutions get pushed off into a tomorrow that never comes, while the stress load just keeps getting heavier and heavier. Then one day you may not have the choices you do today, and that is so very difficult.
I’m going to show you how to make huge changes through very small but meaningful and lasting steps. And I’m going to help you start making some of those changes today.
I’ll explain why it’s important to go beyond just relieving the symptoms of stress, to mastering your stress. That doesn’t mean you’ll never have stress again because you will. But when you’re armed with the right information and understanding, you can reduce the frequency and intensity of most stress events. And with thoughtful and intentional lifestyle and mindset changes you can eliminate many of your current stress triggers.
Stress Can Be a Gift If…
You see, stress, while being a gift if managed early and correctly, can also be very dangerous. More dangerous than most of us give it credit for being. Stress has been proven to affect your brain, your body and your behavior. It can affect a single area or all three. And today, people of all walks of life are experiencing unprecedented levels of stress and burnout.
Stress has become such a way of life that most people have no clue how bad their stress really is and they severely underestimate their health risk related to that stress.
Your stress related health risk is the likelihood of current and future health problems, mental and physical, related to the amount of stress you’re currently experiencing.
Sometimes the stress will affect your health today, but most often it’s cumulative, which means it adds up over time and the effects of today’s stress may not show until sometime in the future, and often within the next couple years.
On the flip side, the pain, illness and diseases you’re experiencing today are most likely connected to stress you’ve experienced in the last couple years.
Stress is so commonplace we tend to think it’s normal and that we’re supposed to feel it. So, we fail to recognize the warning signs. And we blame ourselves when we feel like we can’t keep up or when we think we’re letting others down.
We tell ourselves we need to get tougher, work harder, do more, be more, give more. And while all of that is happening, our poor bodies and minds are suffering.
Stress affects your mental health causing fear, anxiety, depression, feelings of hopelessness and helplessness, overwhelm, burnout and many other problems.
It also affects your physical health. It impairs your immune system so you have a harder time fighting off illness. Over time, your immune system gets so overwhelmed it can turn on you and then you can start to experience autoimmune disorders.
Systems within your body begin to malfunction.
Stress creates inflammation and inflammation causes pain among other things. Stress affects our habits and behaviors which sets us up for Lifestyle Diseases such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, stroke, COPD, asthma, osteoporosis and so many more.
Stress can also lead to addictions and even to cancer.
Just about every person you know or come in contact with each and every day, including yourself has, will have or is currently experiencing at least one, and often many health problems related to stress.
Studies have shown that 75-90% of all health care visits are related to stress in some way. And many providers believe that number is actually higher.
Sometimes the effects of stress are immediate, but often we develop aches and pains, little illnesses here and there that start coming on more frequently.
Then we start having bigger problems and before we realize what’s happening we’re in a full blown health disaster. And our lives and our health begin to feel out of control. Because they are.
But you don’t have to go there. You can shift that control back to you. You can course correct and halt the damage while you actually relieve stress, overwhelm and burnout and improve your health.
In this workshop I’ll share the science of stress in a non-sciency way so you can understand what’s really going on in your brain, your body and your behavior related to the stress you carry each and every day.
